Hey ..... one for the experts/tradesmen out there. Do any of you know where this element can be sourced preferably locally (Galway/Athlone/Roscommon) and at what cost ? Alternatively any online seller ?

    CIMG0496-1.jpg

It has markings on it "230v 300w" if of any help. Apart from that all I can tell ya is it's for a wood pellet boiler.

I'd love to be able to hop in the car when the element fails and replace it but at the moment I'm looking at 2/3 days waiting for supplier to deliver (More if it fails at the weekend) without heat.

Try www.quinnspares.com if they can't supply they can manufacture to order but that will take longer. Main base at Durrow, Tullamore, Co. Offaly but I'm sure thet can point you to a supplier more local to you.

I've gone through many many of them in the last few years !! Is it a DOR OPOP Scotte Boiler ? I replaced mine twice, and finally went on the hunt for a more robust alternative. Got in touch with the guys in Kerry Biofuels, they were great and posted me out a much more robust element, simple fit, heats up much quicker and has lasted much longer than the thin-wire alternative. Give them a go !

    www.elemex.ie

I know Drogheda is the wrong side of the country but as a matter of interest they make any element, 1 or 1,000,000.

Try Ronnie Warde of Galway Energy Systems - he fits wood pellets and heatpumps
