Leaving Cert

    My Question is that I completed my LC 20 years ago and only achieved 4 passes.... some jobs require 5 regardless of life work exp, so my Q is can i re sit one subject and offer my origional 4+ 1 to make up the 5 passes required??
    ANy help be appreciated...

    You can certainly apply to do just 1 subject in the leaving cert. The application fee is a little over €100 for external students although there can be exemptions for medical card holders etc. Colleges would accept passes from more than one leaving cert because they have set rules in place. However individual employers may differ. Some would see it as a positive that you have applied yourself to a leaving cert subject again. Others might look for 5 passes in one leaving cert
