Apologies if this is a basic question, I'm a bit of a noob with all this laptop stuff......:D

I have an Acer laptop, and need it and internet explorer for a course I'm doing. I have eircom broadband at home with the cable going into my PC and I can get internet on my laptop all over the house(not sure how a wireless connection was set up?)

Not quite sure how it will work in the place I'm doing the course though. Will I just have to click a button to connect to their wireless network or bring a cable with me? Or if I bring a USB wireless device?

On my laptop under network adapters it says:
    Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter
    Broadcom Netlink TM Gigabit Ethernet

    Thanks for any help.

First thing you need to do is find out if the place you're doing the course has wifi?

If they do speak to the tutor (or whoever is running the course) and they should have the info available
