    Hi Ladies,

I am looking for some advice, I have got fairly pale skin and done wear much foundation during the week.

At weekends when I go out I always end of looking sickly pale in Photos and I am wondering what is the best make-up to avoid this and if there are any tricks to avoid this happening?

    Thanks Ladies :D

I'm quite pale and I use the borjouis Healthy mix in colour 51 (I think thats the shade)

I find that sometimes it's the flash on a camera that is sometimes to blame as it makes you quite pale, or maybe you are currently using a foundation too pale for your complexion!

If you use a foundation with an SPF in it the camera flash will wash you out even more. I'm super pale but I go glowing white when I am in a flash photo wearing foundation with SPF in it.
Also, blusher and bronzer help to add colour.

I second Bourjois Healthy Mix in 51(71 possibly? I can't remember which is Healthy Mix and which is 10 Hour Sleep Effect) or try the 10 Hour Sleep effect for a lighter coverage. I've never gotten a white cast in photos from either of them, as the poster above said, it's usually caused by SPF.
The Bourjois foundations are warm toned, so they should add a bit of life into your face, if you want a bit more colour try the Bourjois Complexion Enhancer in Apricot, I use it on my cheeks, nose and chin to add a little bit of a glow without risking a bronzer overload.

Another vote for the Bourjois. .

Been using it for the last week or so and find it doesn't dry out my skin or go patchy.

YAY! Borjouis girls! :) I've heard alot of negative things about borjouis but I just love it. Either 10 hour sleep effect is good, but I find the lightest colour is now too dark on me  The healthy mix is great, and both smell absolutely divine, moreso the 10 hour sleep effect.

Have to agree with you girls, it's a very nice foundation!

You should embrace the pale, just pop a bit of colour on your cheeks and if you really want to you can get a very light bronzer for your face but I say be pale and proud!:D

You could try a light bronzer, and a bit of a highlighter on your cheeks, it should help your face to look less "white" on photos and give a healthy porcelain glow. If you don't wana break the bank, I find the rimmel matte light bronzer works just fine, it goes on very lightly, so you can slowly build it up until you get rid of the white mask effect pale foundations sometimes gives you.

When makeup artists are doing the foundation for brides they never use one with an SPF in it becuase of the photos. it just reacts with the flash, so make sure youre "going out" foundation doesnt have any in it.

Im really pale too and my top three foundations are.
Mac pro long wear (about 30euro)
Dior Forever or Dior Nude (both about 40e but last ages and skin looks great in pics
Bourjois ten hour sleep effect is good too if your looking for more pocket friendly.
Also excellent bronzer is beyond bronze by fake bake. The light shade is perfect for fair skins and just gives lovely healthy looking glow in pics,
And collection 2000 blushers are really good too and work great with any the above foundations and looks good on photos.
    Hope it helps

Revlon Colorstay in 110 Ivory is really pale, porcelain pale, and pink-toned, so if that sounds like you, it's a great foundation! Only problem is, there are two types, Oily and Dry, and both have SPF, one having more than the other but I can't remember which.

On the issue of powders, I love the 17 light bronzer, it's only E5 something, and a lovely bronze for paleys! Also, the Model's Own blushers are great too, look a bit eh in the pan but really nice on! Warm Glow with a light hand is great on pale skin.
