How much would it cost to move a car Im not using to another accomodation?

    I have a car and I need an NCT , I stopped the insurance recently , no tax, it needs a service for NCT has no mirror on drivers side side (due to vandals(:mad:)in area) , I need to do the full licence .

    i need to move to another area of the town for obvious reasons :mad:

    Im wondering how much about would it cost ? to get a mechanic to tow / transport it or whatever to the new area , and if that can be done with this car, also would it be cheaper to get it taxed insured than asking a mechanic ?

    I dont even use the car as I use a bike and have no need for it but its too hard to sell even though its a good small car that I may need if I get work outside of town in the coming months which is unlikely but I need to keep it in mind.

    Please help its stopping me moving and I have have been the victim of crime in the area on more than 1 occassion and I dont sleep propperly anymore .

    ive seen recovery firms quoting €50...a tow could be problematical with no tax/nct/insurance...needs to have its wheels off the road really.

    50 euro wouldnt be bad , I heard about 300 E 2 yrs ago for a written off crashed car to a garage a mile away ..I know its not the same but....

    I actually might call around a few places tomorrow.

    I would only be taking it about 2 miles or 1 mile maybe even less ...Im looking for other accommodation in the same big town (not a city)

    I was thinking it may need to be more than towed with no certs for anything.
