Does anyone know what the approximate trade in value of a Mazda 6 2004, 80K miles would be? I am trying to work out what I can afford to buy. Any idea at all would be great.

The trade-in value will vary from garage to garage and will depend on how much the garage think they will get for your car and on the price of the car you are trading against. Don't be too concerned about what a garage is allowing you for your old car, eg a garage can give you a great trade in price for your car but add it back onto the price of the car you are trading it against.

So the only true figure that matters is how much they want with your car for the new one.

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Mileage adjusted book value for a Comfort is €3,090. Touring is €400 on top of this.

€3,000 - €3,500 grand off the advertised price of the car you are looking at would be about right.

It's a comfort touring so I'm glad of that. Thank you.

Just the type of car I might be looking for. If you sell it private you can haggle for more discount on car you are buying. EG Dealer gives you €3000 off car, you pay balance. I buy car from you at same price they offer, you haggle for bigger discount. Let me know by pm if interested.
