    Hi,

our water was cut off for a few days after esb burst a pipe on our road. water supply is back today however we have no hot water coming through despite a hot tank from the immersion.
would there be a block cause by the water being cut off?

    thanks!

Are you getting any water from the hot taps?

Is it possible that a timer may have turned on your immersion heater when the hot water cylinder was empty? If so the element may be kaput. AFAIK some elements have a reset switch. See if you can locate such a switch and reset it.

Sounds like you have an airlock in the hot water pipes.

Check out this link to see if it cures it for you

Dirt in ballcock, always happens when the council are at the water, and the roof tank emptys. Turn off water mains, open ballcock, clean jet, dont lose the washer, put back together, turn on mains, and all should be ok
