Thanks Sanjuro, dunno if you remember the Call of Duty 4 launch, it's vaguely similar tbh
At the moment, /connect does not work, but xfire is getting server join update in the coming days, so you can add favourite IPs to xfire. Steam really should have a join game option though.

They have a Team Deathmatch server and a Search and Destroy server, again I don't have the IP


There's a few more I'm still chasing down. Mods if you can, can you put this in the original post or on the 'About last night....' thread, thanks

Can you add the IP in game...the friends option does not work that I can see. How do I join a server from in game.....only with Xfire.

Not sure if this will work, but type /addfavourite then the IP or something like that into your console and it should appear in your favorites, unless BO is like WaW and most console functions didn't work at first.

That doesn't work for me (the console command is greyed out in the AutoComplete frame in the main menu), and there's no confirmation, no error (like in-game, where duplication of a favourite would tell you that it was already added).

My guess is that you just use the command (is the forward flash necessary?) during the game to add the server you're on to Favourites.

No idea then (hadn't tried it, just saw the command as I was trying to figure out how to add servers), and normally the forward slash is needed in MP or it will just show up as text chat, could be different in BO though.

You do have to enable "console" in game to be able to use it. I dont know if it is set to enable by default.

I have it bookmarked but there doesn't seem to be activity on it when I check .... I think it's the Celts one that seems to be getting the most traffic ??/

TBF I spend most if not all my online time on our own server so maybe I am not a good judge .

Seems they will be adding /connect in a future update.

• Added an option to create shaders during load time. This fixes hitching when viewing a new area of the map for the first time on some video cards.
• Incomplete server browser results.
• Improvements to Quickmatch results (with better ping and reduced lag)..

There is some more stuff but I only put in as far down as /connect.

Just a quick update, there's a new boards.ie public Teamspeak server.



Instructions:

- Grab the download for the OS of your choice here.
- Once installed, got to bookmarks, manage bookmarks, add bookmark
- Under label type anything, under address type eurots6.gameservers.com, and under port type 9122. Type your nickname in there too.

You're done, you can connect to the channel. All that's left to do is set up your microphone.

Boards.ie users can request their own channel. Just give myself or Kharn a PM and we'll set up the channel to your liking.

They are only for PC. Nothing for us console users to worry about.
