    Do you mean MW2?

And I'm not even sure I understand what you're getting at though..

Well if you are on a wireless dongle, you can play online, but it will quite probably be very poor and very, very laggy. Maybe someone else can shed light on this, just what I figure..

So you have the game and an internet connection?
Just fire up multiplayer and try to join a game.

I'm not sure about MW2, since it's peer to peer, but I friend of mine on a wireless dongle tried to play the L4D2 demo on a dedicated server with pings of 5000. Lots of Lulz ensued.

The game will only work on his steam account since the CD Key is tied into his account, thats why you got the invalid message, correct me if I am wrong though.

Correct. The disk is useless. The license is tied to the Steam account and you need to own that account to play the game. I'm surprised you were even able to run it without a Steam login, cos that'd be illegal.

    Great stuff

I think its worth buying anyway as the game rocks and will be one of the all time greats.

    Thanks again

MW2 is a bit **** TBH. Have a look at Left 4 Dead or Team Fortress 2. Now those are all time greats.

Depends on opinion I guess. I will agree on the Left 4 Dead thing, I love both of those games. 125 hours of L4D, 137 of L4D2 on steam :D

It does indeed. I just found MW2 to be an awful experience.

SP wasn't a scratch on COD4's. The story was inane. Team America the game springs to mind, but not in a good way.

The MP just decended into obcession with kill streaks and zero focus on team play.

Main reason I preferred to play with friends, we would actually talk to each other (usually via ventrillo or teamspeak). If the other team wasn't playing as a team, made stuff easier.
