Rip of the Paddy

    I was recently on Ebay looking for golf balls and came across this company called Americangolfshop, I selected what I wanted and then proceeded to check-out only to find out that they wanted 26.99(sterling) in p&p for a sleeve of golf balls to be sent from Chesire in England to Limerick in the Republic. When I quizzed this I was told that we are a separate European country and hence the price yet other English companies on Ebay charge 2 pds sterling for the same package.
    Crazy or what?
    Do Americangolfshop think that Paddy is a fool and can be ripped off at will?
    :rolleyes::mad::P

    While most are decent a lot of english sellers are like that.

    Worst thing i ever done was install the e-bay app on my phone - was on it a few weeks ago while having a few beers (lot!) and bid on an old set of mizuno blades. Postage to UK was £15 or something with no price down for ireland. Anyway i won them and the mucker charged me £40 to post them to ireland:mad::mad::mad: Nothing i could do about it as i never asked for postage cost. Package is still here at work and it cost £12.50 to post:mad:

    Must fire them up on adverts, someone might want them

    You should have reported him for excess charges, started a dispute resolution and tried to get some sort of a refund.
