They are so warm. there is fur everywhere except the soles. My toes are toasty!!

A little bikerish (and probably not very pretty) but I've found these do the job really well.

I've never worn uggs, so excuse my completely ignorant question, but do they keep out the rain (and snow) or does the moisture eventually seep through? Ive seen girls wearing them in the rain, and have always wondered, especially when they seem to have buckled and the sole of the ugg is no longer the only part touching the ground.

Real Uggs do and real Uggs don't go all floppy so if you're willing to spend the few bob, then do, I rarely changed out of mine during the blizzard season last January! If you do buy Uggs, make sure you get a protector spray for the suede because water can stain it as well as grease and other liquids.

Uggs definitely the solution to keeping toes snuggy!

I have doc martin zip up knee boots. As they are known as "hard to break in" I always wear thick socks with them. My feet are lovely and toasty in them and the same with the ordinary ankle docs. They never let water seep in unless you're splashing around in deep puddles and even during the blizzard last year I was playing all day and night in the snow in Tallaght and my feet were lovely snug and warm. I couldn't say that about the rest of me!

emu boots win every time over uggs as far as i'm concerned

these ones have a proper sole on them too, not that squishy foamy sole that you would expect on sheepskin boots, so not only do they keep you toasty warm, you won't be slipping and sliding when the snow and ice comes (and it is coming people!)

+1 on this. Have been wearing mine for the past month or so ha. Today I put on normal boots and my feet are soooo cold all day :(

Real Uggs that it. Fake ones will let rain in, the real ones don't!

Kind of like Uggs but not as chunky, I have 3 pairs! of Rocketdog "sugardaddy" boots, love them.
Tonight I'm wearing a pair of ordinary leather boots but with "sheepskin" insoles I picked up in Lidl - very cosy.
