I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this query; mods feel free move as appropriate.

I use the GMail web client for the majority of emailing needs but I quite like using a desktop client too. One feature I particularly like about GMail is the ability to send mail from multiple addresses; if there a way to access this feature from a desktop client such as Outlook or Mail?

I realise I could set up the outgoing server to match that of the other addresses but I'd like it to be as integrated as possible, particularly keeping the Sent Mail folder and labels of GMail intact.

Yes you can send mail from multiple addresses using any desktop client. The outgoing server is always your ISP's SMTP server.

I have several email addresses the incoming mail server is the POP server of the address supplier and the outgoing server is my ISP's SMTP server.
