The SX-9 is an impressive gun, and is a lot of fun. It also represents great value for money. However, it will not have the same degree of parts available to upgrade, or if something goes wrong, repair. I assume that it is compatible with most VSR parts, considering its design, but that would be a guess.

The L96 & VSR on the other hand have a tonne of parts available, and are also much more readily available than the SX-9. But...the SX-9 ejects shells. The others don't do that. And trust me, it never gets old. And it never will get old because you don't have to use ejecting shells on the field, you can instead just use the strip mag and continue as normal.

For €200 I cannot fault the SX-9...I really can't. But just factor in its unique parts, mags etc.

do not TOUCH the sx-9 aka... super 9... that gun is horrifically unreliable, and has aproximately, zero spares or upgrade parts available.

In the land of suck, it is king.

@Fire-Kitten: I bought the SX9, knowing nothing about UHC, as it was under Umarex, and I have to say it is impressive. You're dead on that it uses unique parts, that are not exactly available. I've since read up on a lot of the bad rep surrounding UCH Super 9, however apparently (and I do mean that - I honestly don't know, having never used an older model) it is lightyears better than its predecessors. Not exactly a hard thing, going by online reviews :D

It's accurate, it's quiet, and a lot of fun (cause of the shells...yes I am that sad). The lack of upgrades is an issue, however where there's a will there's a way - I've read of people using M16 AEG tight-bore barrels to increase accuracy & consistency.

It is a trade off though - for the shell ejecting gimmick, two bolts etc, you are sacrificing a lot of upgrades. You have to consider is it worth doing. For many the answer is a straight no, but for some it is. Upgrades are possible with the SX9, but will take a lot of effort & ingenuity. So do bare all of that in mind.
