Suggestions for good mechanics / garages in or around Athlone

    Hi,

I need a couple of simple things done on a '00 E46 BMW (suspension, brakes, window regulators etc.) and as I am currently staying in Athlone I'd like to get it done locally.

Any recommendations who I should use? Obviously I wouldn't go for Colm Quinn as dealership service record is not an issue anymore, considering the age of the car. So any decent indy will do just fine.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the link, I tried Golden Pages already and have a couple of phone numbers, but my original question was more targeted at actual customer experience with a particular garage / mechanic and how satisfactory they did a certain job, value for money etc.

None of the rating sites seem to cover any of the Athlone garages. Will go for Advance Pitstop for the suspension stuff, not so sure if they can help with the window regulators, though i'll probably just have to give them a call and ask :D

Thanks for the responses so far anyway.

    Advance?

Best avoided IMO for any engine/suspension work

    Edit,

Why not give it a try to fix it yourself?

Brake discs-pads/window regs/basic suspension work is mostly DIY

Just ask for advice here if you are stuck
