YouTube on iPhone

    While I’m fully aware that currently there is a whole lot of real s**t to worry about in this world, I have to ask a question that’s been niggling me lately.
    On the iPhone why is the YouTube logo on the home screen just an image of an old TV and not the official YouTube logo? I would have assumed if Apple thought enough of YouTube to bundle this app as part of the original OS that they would include its logo on the homescreen
    Any ideas ? ? Then I can go back to worrying about recession, war, famine etc.....

    Apple aren't hot on corporate branding. Same reason you won't find Intel Inside or Nvidia stickers on their hardware, I guess.

    I have the youtube app hidden with poof and then i bookmarked the youtube web app on the homescreen. This gives you the official logo and, imho anyways, a quicker and better looking UI
