    Let's sink the banks, let them fail as ordinary people are allowed to sink.
    PS If developers with their millions in borrowings are going to get bailed out, why not everyone else?

    Or PREFERABLY SINK THE BANKS ALTOGETHER, BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE. SINK THEM NOW.
    RELY ON OURSELVES.
    SET UP OUR OWN BANK.
    BE SOVEREIGN AGAIN.
    WE THREW AWAY OUR SOVERIGNTY IN SEPT 2010 (0910)

    Nah I don't support the global pharmaceutical giants, nor any drugs accidentally or otherwise.
    The occasional magic mushroom, they grow freely on the Dublin mountains. The ECB and IMF has not (yet) got their grubby hands on a local level.

    I see, so being prudent and not getting deep in debt in the boom years and opting to rent instead of buy is in your eyes "a fool"?
    As for assets, I don't note them, I don't gamble, that's all.

    Dave McWilliams made an analogy between the banking crisis and a hostage situation. The bank is the hostage taker, the Irish economy is the hostage and the state is the negotiator. The banks are threatning to kill the hostage unless the state gives it more money. Theres two ways to deal with the situation. What we have been doing is giving into the hostage takers demands.
