If you are using the mini-guide you don't get the option to record all episodes, but if you use the main guide you should get both options.

Yes you do, at least on my box anyway. Not all channels are "series link" enabled though, and even on the channels that support it some programs that you might consider as series aren't.

That's strange, I've just tested this on mine with Eastenders on BBC1, which is the Cisco 8485 hd digital+ box & what I posted above is the case. My old dvr was the same. I never had the option of recording a series from the mini-guide.

You must have a more up to date one than me, though as far as I know the hd one is the most up to date, unless they supply different models to different customers & that yours has more functions than either of mine.

Just tried Eastenders as well and it give me the option of "This episode" or "All episodes",I have the black Cisco HD box.

There seems to be no reason or rhyme to whats series link enabled and what isn't. Utter pain in the small delicate bits.

In addition, the broadcasters need to supply the right data to UPC, and give the showings of each episode numbers, so the series link knows what is repeat and what is not, unfortunately some broadcasters refuse to do this or do it very poorly.
