I have 2 hard drives and 2 os's each of them windows.
My primary hard drive is virus free.
My secondary hard drive definitley has some nasty viruses.

Is it possible for a virus to copy itself to my primary hard drive?
What if you havent mounted the secondary hardrive?
At the moment I keep the second one plugged out so that I can be sure. Can someone tell me if it is possible to get a virus transferred from one hard drive to another and under what circumstances?

A virus can replicate itself if coded to do so. It could therefore copy itself to any device or computer share connected to the network.

It obviously can not transfer itself to drive which is not powered on.

I have Norton 2011, Malwarebytes and superantispyware. Will these find every last virus? Is there any way to be positively virus free?

Just wondering if people would recommend something other than norton.
