    Hi all,
Some may remember i recently posted about repairing a golf.. Anyway unfortunatly the hg is knackered too now after it boiled a while back. Ruled out thermostat etc.
Im not gonna repair as the cost is too much vs cost of car.
I was told a breakers may only give me 50 at best which is crap. Was thinking of selling it on to the trade as a project car.
whats your opinions on this? any sites i can use othe than gumtree, adverts?
Obviously id brief the buyer about the problems.
    thanks

    What yr is the golf?

If the cost of doing the head ways out the price of the car i asume its old enough.

what are you really expecting to get for an old golf that needs a new head gasket?????

Stick it up on adverts.ie with plenty of photos. You never know what someone may need from it.

well was hoping for a bit more but i dunno what the value would be. to be honest i dont want to break it outside the house ya know? the more i get tge less i have to pay off its replacement. obviously not expecting mad money for it but someone in the trade could fix this and resell is what I'm thinking.
Am I mad to look for more money?

tbh lad you wont get any more from the trade. with the gasket done its still only worth a few hundred quid

Put it on Donedeal.ie, you prob get maybe €150 for it if you're lucky.
