Anyone know what's happening in Skerries station. There's a lot of machinery up the Ballst Pit end (maybe the start f the upgrade) as well as a portacabin for tickets so presume th estation vbeing upgraded. Any plans anywhere?

Lots of notices around the station.
There was also a planning application, which you should be able to get from fingal.co.co - planning department. Should be online.
I would imagine they would like to knock down the internal walls, and sort the doors. Similar to what has happened in Donabate and Rush and Lusk.
Given the shortages of money with the government I am very surprised this went ahead, as the staff had made a great effort with the existing facilities.
For a number of years, a lot of permanent way tractors/JCB's etc. are stored in the sidings at Skerries, so on top of all the new containers for the compound in the car park, it looks very busy. Perhaps they are doing something along the northern suburban line but I have no information on that.
