Could you get her a voucher and then she could pick out the things she wants herself and you wouldn't be getting the wrong stuff??

Vouchers are a good idea, they include a makeover I'm pretty sure too!
Otherwise look on the mac site http://www.maccosmetics.com/whats_new/4037/index.tmpl you can't order to here and the prices are in dollars. As a general rule, the price in dollars is pretty much the same as the price in euro if you want a ball park figure.
They have their christmas sets out, one of them might be nice?
Also unless you want to spend hours researching how to order real mac online, I'd steer clear of that route, so many fakes, especially on ebay.

Hi Guys, your best bet would be to pop in and get one of the MAC 'Tarten Tales' brush sets. That is the name of their Christmas sets this year. I treated myself to 2 of the brush sets last year and they are just the best. I use them every day and they are still in perfect condition (for added brownie points pick her up a brush cleaning spray too!) and i really do LOVE them!!

Best tip I can give you is BUY NOW as these sets sell out soooooooooo fast every year!

I wouldnt buy the tartan tales brush sets if I were you coz if your girlfriend is a big mac fan she'll notice how different they are to the full size brushes. Of all the pictures I've seen of them they seem to be very bad quality for mac and not the same shape as the full size ones

The chrimbo gift brush sets are just short-handled versions of the big brushes eg instead of the 209 brush you get the 209SE (SE = Special Edition)

One year they did have a problem with one of the SE foundation brushes but that got sorted.

I have had zero trouble with the set i got last year and i use it every day and really scrub them once a week and they really are still good as new!

You can also get nice tartan palettes which come with a range of eyshadows or lipsticks or blushes. Agree with you, you must buy these ASAP as they will be gone by December!

Otherwise I would buy her a MAC make over and a voucher for purchasing stuff when it's over.

Yeah there is a difference in size of some of them (esp the 252) but I think that girl might have gotten a faulty set as I was in BTs playing around with the new sets and they were not scratchy in any way.

Still as a present it is an awesome set and last years ones I got were the best money I have spent on brushes ever.
OP some girls don't really like going in and getting a makeover in a big department store...think they find it kinda embarrassing. I know a couple like that. If you know she enjoys the experience than it is a really good gift though!

Last Christmas my OH just went in and told them he was making a goodie bag for me and asked about bestsellers and got me some lovely stuff...he had taken a poke through my makeup case before to try and avoid getting me stuff I already had. Then he just popped it all in a cool make up bag and I loved it! Might be an idea?
