Are you having problems starting the engine...?
Check all feed/return hoses for signs of splits...signs of hoses rubbing off body etc.
A small pin hole can cause air to enter the system....have you replaced the diesel filter..?

No problems starting at all... Lines good just when ya squeese the fuel hand primer you can hear its airlocked.

Filter was changed about 8000 km ago yea.

I don't think you have anything to worry about....if its starting and running fine then i'd leave very well alone...:)
When you press the hand primer you should here a flushing noise....this is normal.

    Hi there,

Its starting perfect allthough a few times the engine warning light came on because of the air in the lines. Then I have to press the hand primer for a while to get things back to normal and the light goes off.

Its nothing major just a pain in the ass poppping the bonnet now and again to squeese the hand primer. Its defo airlocked and thats defo my problem so I best find out how to resolve it. Its not always "flushing" the fuel because of this airlock I know by the sound of the primer. Thanks :)

    To me it sounds like..
    1) Your hand primer is losing the diesel in the circuit
back to tank...theres usally a check valve (Non return valve) in the hand primer which prevents this from happening.....solution a new or good second hand primer bulb.
    2) There is air geting into the system somewhere, maybe tru a pinhole on the hoses or tru the leak back hoses on the injectors...solution pressure check the flow/return to tank hoses.
Its not going to be easy to find the cause....
Maybe start with the priming pump....:)

    Thanks ron,

I think (99% sure) this may of come about when fuel filter was changed once the lines were disconnected. Any ideas how to bleed the system?? I was thinking disconnect the return and prime the fuel through and re connect?

If this has only occured since the filter replacment then theres a very high chance that the seals (O-rings) on the flow/return hoses have been pinched/damaged or a faulty fuel filter which is unlikely.
Maybe get yourself a new fuel filter and check the these seals for damage when replacing it.

As for bleeding the system... its a a matter of just priming the pump which
purges the diesel/air back to tank ....:)

Yea I think if i remember correctly when the lines were disconnected when fitting the last filter they gurgled at us for a while so thats how the air got in me thinks.........

A new filter is €50

Ill chance priming for a while...How long you think I should chance that for?Any other options to bleed the air out? Also if i prime it too much would that not cause more damage?

    Cheers ron :)

The air that got into the sytem 8k ago when you replaced the filter is well gone...maybe disconnect the flow/return hoses again check for damage to the inner o rings in the connectors and refit/prime.
You need to keep priming until the bulb becomes hard.....:)

Maybe send these an email and see what the charge to ship to Ireland..
