Fixed income? What does it mean

    Watching bloomberg yesterday and they had some fat french fella on from barclays talking about ireland and greece. His title was head of Fixed income. Ive heard of this before and other strange titles that these guys get but what exactly is fixed income?

    Fixed income is another word for bonds. Bonds are loans to corporations or nations which pay a fixed return (known as a coupon) to the lender, hence fixed income.
