Their are an estimated 100,000 rape children in Iraq. The youngest girl raped in Iraq was 2 months old. Please check out wikileaks for more info. A case I heard about which was quite disturbing was when a girl got tied up in her house, gang raped, then her parents were set on fire in front of her very eyes, her 3 year old sister raped, and finally the girl was raped for the last time and finally set on fire alive...

I still cant understand how the (some) Americans and (some) British feel that going into Iraq was a good thing. The place is tottaly crippled...A part of me will always hate the USA and the UK for that. I mean, come on , 100,00 rape children...!!!

And to think that many of their families are probably filled with pride that their son or daughter is "serving" in Iraq whereas in reality they are absolutely abominable pieces of shit.

After watching that, and reading the post above about the 100000 rape children, I can see why many in the muslim world despise the decadent, spoiled, morally bankrupt western world. Makes you hate humanity really.. *

    * edit: a bit over the top in hindsight..was just pretty disgusted after hearing about that stuff...

if you can honestly believe that iraq is worse off now that it was under Saddam.. just. end it

Dude have you ever been to Iraq? I have. I lived their for 3 months back in 2003. And in the end of the day no one has the right to invade another country no matter how bad it is. Let them sort out their own problems, and if they dont, its still none of anyones buisness.

Granted Saddam was a very horrible horrible man, but Bush was even worse! I hate both equally!

Iraq may be a better place now that Saddam isn't running the place, but couldn't they have gotten him out of there without raping 100000 kids, no?

EDIT: I'm only quoting that for truth because the previous poster said it...if it isnt true then ignore this post..

Have you anything other to back these claims up than a video with the likes of "our client claims this" and "the interrogators allegedly" ?

    Propaganda people.
Saddam wasn't the devil he was made out to be, either are the americans.
The simple truth is the war was about business, oil prices and supply, arms contracts etc. The people caught up in it are just unfortunate, neither side care about them in the slightest. It's a $hitty world we live in!

Sex as a weapon of war is nothing new.

Bosnia and Rwanda are two examples that immediately spring to mind.I'm sure there are dozens of others.

Nobody needs to be told about the devastation that war inevitably causes. We all know what goes on.

When reports like this are issued while the contents may be shocking they really shouldn't surprise anyone.

Yeah you're right. Nobody needs to be told at all. In fact, we probably shouldn't report any news relating to the war...or just the news in general.

Sure everybody knows what's going on anyway.

rolleyes could not begin to convey how idiotic your remark was

These are pretty disturbing figures, for sure, but so we can get these into perspective, could you tell us how many of these rapes were committed by US, British or other consortium troops and could you also give us some figures on how many rapes were committed in Iraq pre-invasion?

After watching that, and reading the post above about the 100000 rape children, I can see why many in the muslim world despise the decadent, spoiled, morally bankrupt western world.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010/nov/08/islam-channel-ofcom
In a programme first broadcast in April last year, Ofcom ruled that the Islam Channel host Nazreen Nawaz condoned marital rape when she said: "And really the idea that a woman cannot refuse her husband's relations this is not strange to a Muslim because it is part of maintaining that strong marriage. But it shouldn't be such a big problem where the man feels he has to force himself upon the woman."

The channel also broke the broadcasting code by encouraging violence against women, in a Q&A session on marital violence, and for labelling women who wore perfume "prostitutes".

Two wrongs don't make a right obviously.

It's so funny when I hear something like this and I read the comments saying how cruel and sickening this is and yet the same people will argue that us Irish should wear poppies....

Not in a million years would I wear something that remembers both Irish men of WW1 and WW2 and the thugs that are in the army today and continue their sick treatment of Iraqis and Afghanis the way they do...

Do you have any links for the above? This kind of thing is easy to type out.

One story that gained currency in the aftermath of the Iraq invasion of Kuwait was how troops rampaged through a hospital pulling the life support from sick babies (no doubt cackling in an evil manner as they did so), it turned out that the story was concocted by The Friends Of Kuwait (google Kuwait Baby Incubator). Could Iraqi soldiers do such things? Of course they could, but it turns out they didn't.

100,000 rape children? Raping a two month old? Jesus and people complain about the ****e trotted out by Fox News.

Hardly surprising infromation really. Everyone wants to see themselves as the good guy, and they will either ignore or come up with some excuse, for the crap that they do. The invasion of Iraq was a war of aggression, and the fact that the criminals behind it are still walking free, show more than anything else, that the US and UK so called commitment to justice is a load of bull****.

Out of interest, which parts of the country, and was it before or after the invasion?

Just wondering, the mileage may vary.

So lets see, at the peak of British deployment there where 27,000 military personnal stationed there.

So by my calculations every Solider, doctor, secutary, supply staff both male and female would of each raped 3.7 Iraqi children.

That's unlikely. It's more likely that some of them raped 4 and some only 3.
