PGDE Trinity Personal Statement Question

Hey, I'm wondering if any past PGDE applicants can help me out here...

I'm in the process of applying for the PGDE in Trinity and UCD. I'm pretty much all set except for the Personal Statement required by Trinity. Applying through PAC, the online form provides a space for any extra information you think would support your application, but it mentions that this information should not overlap with your personal statement. However, for the life of me, I cannot find information anywhere (either on the Trinity or PAC websites) about the personal statement itself.
Now, I know it's essentially an essay on why you want to be a teacher, and I did ring Trinity (a woman there said it's pretty much that), but surely there must be some official page online talking about such a pivotal part of the process, no? I've read pretty much all the Boards.ie posts that I can find on the PGDE, so apologies if I'm just not seeing one that already answers this post.
Does anyone know the length they expect? (I presume it's to be typed.) Should it be quite formal or would they appreciate a bit of personality as well? I know I could show the aul personality part at the interview, but I'm guessing the essay has to be pretty good to even get that far!

    Thanks to anyone who answers,

    Sabscababs

    Hi Sabscababs,
Was doing the application myself a while ago and this stumped me too. When you get to the end of the application (The bit they tell you to print) they go through what supporting documentation you need to send to them and there are links to 2 documents, one is for your personal statement; https://www.pac.ie/pgrad/downloads/TCD_PGDE_Personal_Statement.pdf and one to send to your referees; https://www.pac.ie/pgrad/downloads/TCD_PGDE_Reference_Form.pdf . They actually look for a lt more than the NUIs do (including letters of reference) but you have until December 20th to send it in.

Any idea if we need to send in undergrad results, leaving cert (or SAT results in my case) I think we had to last year??

No problem Sabscababs, it shocked me when I saw it first but it actually looks grand!
Hi dno, I don't know about last year but as far as I can see they only ask for results you list in your application, so undergrad, postgrad etc. but not LC.
