They have a very tight fit between inner and outer barrel, so be aware that it could be quite a difficult job to do.

If the AEG is performing well on the stock barrel leave it alone.

To get the barrel out requires removing the gearbox, and taking off the outer barrel, which has to be hammered out, on a steel model this is nearly impossible, or dissasemble the hop and slide the barrel out the front, then reassembling the hop-up in the receiver.

Thats my experience of it, so consider if you need the new barrel or not.

    Is it a full-steel model?

Same as mine, the prometheus barrel I got was a very tight fit, and needed to be tapped in gently with a hammer.

It is possible to replace the barrel if you disassemble and reassemble the hop-up in the receiver, or, taking off the outer barrel, a seriously tough job on a gun where it is very tight.

Its up to you if you want to go for it, I did myself, but never used the stock barrel so don't know how it compares.
