    Hey folks,

Really sorry about this, but I've been trying to find out what the situation is regarding sound over hdmi these days.

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/242522

    ^^^
UMA graphics with a hdmi out, I know in the past that ATi were the only dudes who could put sound over hdmi, but I have been out of the game for a good few months and was wondering what the situation is now.

    Thanks + Much love

P.S. I like the look of that lappy esp for that price, but am open to suggestions if anyone else sees a bargain going about. It's just for very basic usage, want at least a 15" screen + will be used for streaming content from the web to the tv. Buying from the UK btw as I'm located there right now. Don't want to go much over that price either tyvm

I have a compaq presario q60 and it's got nvidia graphics card not sure which one
and have gotten sound over hdmi when connected to both my panasonic tvs since I've bought it..only thing is sometimes I have to disable the inboard sound devices to get the hdmi as default so it will work bit it takes 30 seconds to do.. Tho if you're planning on watching hd movies get a decent graphics card..the one I have can't handle 1080p without freezing..tho 720p runs fine
