    I got guitar hero for a ps3 for my daughter for christmas.I was given a guitar, I was assured it worked.But I cant get it to work.Im told it wireless.There is no reciever with it.It did come with a drum kit, but I gave that away. any advice,is it the right guitar?thanks,Cathy.

    did ya give the receiver away with the drum kit, they might shsre receivers

    hmmm, worth looking into.I dont know what the reciever looks like?

    Have you synced the guitar and PS3? AFAIK the guitar doesn't need a receiver :)

    You might have more luck asking there, but I'd say you'll need the dongle that came with the guitar too :(

    Pretty sure you need a reciever. I just got Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and there's a reciever with that guitar, its inside the fret board - which guitar hero have you got?

    Thanks for the replies, it was the guitar that came with the drums?I gave up and invested in another one, I wouldnt want Santa to dissapoint anyone.Thanks again,Cathy
