Anyone here with a putter thats less than 33"?

I'm thinking about going to a 32" but as far as i know the shortest standard is 33"

So did you just buy a standard length and get it cut down or can they be ordered direct with a shorter shaft?

I had mine cut down to 30". Have full extension of my arms now, no bent elbows and have putted really well with it.

I'm 5ft 8" but think 32" would still be ok.

I got mine cut down a few years ago and have done the same with every putter since. I get a bit of slagging from my mates as it is pretty small but I feel it has benefited me hugely but I haven't played enough to see if it has had a massive improvement/decline but it feels better. The only thing I would be wary of is the weight. The one I currently use I do struggle with on longer putts and I think its due to the weight. When I cut down the original putter I didn't maintain its original weight and it worked out fine as it felt good but with the recent putter when it was cut down I could feel a major difference in the weight which is fine for most putts but is a struggle for the longer ones so maybe thats something to keep in mind before getting it cut down. Ask your pro and he can tell you what weight he can maintain in the putter.

Have used cut down putters for years, about 30". I find it gets my eye over the ball much better, I'm bout 5'9". Playing off 3 and my putting is usually v.good. Find the smaller putter works particularily good on putts from 6foot in. I cut them myself and put on a grip, however any golf pro will do it for you, usually free if you have bough the grip off them.

Go to McGuirks and buy a kids putter, its the best €20 you will ever spend. i bought one a while back and I have now no fear on the greens, arms hang down nicely and ok you may have to swing it a bit harder on the long putts but the confidence you will have on the short putts will make all the difference
