summer placements

    hey
    im a 2nd science student and wondering does anyone no of good summer placements! dont even have to be paying ones any would be great
    and if so any chemistry teaching ones? interested in that area but dont no how to go about experience.

    If you're lucky enough to get one of those places then it is fantastic. You will really see your subject at work, as well as going on some good trips and getting used to making presentations etc. (Suppose that could be useful for teaching) The emphasis is on application in Tyndall, but if you want a more 'fundamental' project then check out the SFI sites in the chemistry department in UCC, they usually have people doing some pretty cool projects.

    I'm not trying to pimp UCC either, it's just I know that they have a few SFI-ish sites there, so you have a variety to apply to :D
