PS3 Move or WII

Hi, doing a bit of Xmas shopping;) and got to wondering would the Move be a better option than a WII. I have a PS3 and the Eye already. Its for a six and 4 year old (and Me:D).

The 6 year old wants a Wii having played it at friends houses, but obviously I haven't seen the Move in reality, so don't know which way to purchase. I suppose available games for 4 -6 year olds been an important factor.

    What would ye advise?

    Thanks.

First off: I don't have, nor will I be getting the move (unless a "must have" move exclusive comes out).

Get a Wii, better games for 4-6 year olds, imo. Plus it keeps the PS free for your use.

Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2.
    Mario Kart.
    New Super Mario Bros.
    de Blob.
Some of the LEGO games, Batman, Indiana, Star Wars and Harry Potter. I think these are rated 7+, so your discretion would be necessary.
I'd like to recomment Zack and Wiki, but at 4-6 years old, it might be a bit too much for them. :(

You would probably get a better list on the Wii forum.

I have both and I would say definitely the Wii - far less messing about with calibration which will drive the kids mad andtherefore drive you mad

Wii. I had a move but traded it in recently, just doesnt have the games at the monent, games like The Fight and Time Crisis which I was looking forward to have both got terrible reviews. Wii has some class games and new GoldenEye should be fun. No brainer imo

I have to say Move, we have both and the Move is much superior.

The current range of games are perfect for kids and adults - Toy Story3, Eye Pet, LBP2, The Shoot, Sports Champions, Tiger Woods, Heavy Rain etc...big favourite with our gang!

LBP2 isnt out this year and Tiger Woords and Heavy Rain are ****e with Move. Rest are tech demos basically. Wii games are a million times better its not even a competition.

I have both The move is basically a Wii that works.

For a 6 year old they wont really care which they get but a Wii will set you back €200 or so, where as a Move will be €40. No contest really.

You are also future proofing yourself too against the "i want a PS3 Move i played in my friends house" .

Get the Move and get start the party it has an endless stream of fun colourful kids games that they interact with.

I've got both myself. The Wii having been out longer, has a bigger back catalogue games whereas the Move has only been out around 2 months or so.

As grumpypants has said, the Move will work out cheaper rather than buying a new console.

Personally, I think the Move is more responsive than the Wii. I've sometimes found myself getting frustrated with the Wii remote as it wouldn't respond to what I was doing. Having said that, they do have a new "motion plus" feature which means that the Wii remote is now more responsive and more accurate to your movements.

They're 6 and 4, the box it comes in will entertain the 4 year old so get Move and it'll be cheaper.
Any differences will be lost on them as they're that young adn the games that they'll mostly want will be new not from a old back catalogue, and i find that while motion controllers are better for people less familiar with games sometimes a young child would be better off hitting a button and seeing something happen.

I'd go with the move. I know it's more expensive but it's also new. I wuldn't think the Wii has too much life left in it either
