Think it would be a good idea to get a word of the day thread going for us learners, just to expand vocabulary. So I hope others will join in aswell

So i was flicking through the dictionary and stop on a page and found this word

    drabhlás nm1 - debauchery (DROW-laus)

but can be used in a sentence like this,

Bhí mé ar an drabhlás aréir - I was on the rip/lash/tear last night

    also a related word drabhlásaí nm4 - waster/heavy drinker (DROW-laus-ee)

Bhí sé ar an drabhlás aris. ( He was on the lash again)
