[Motorcheck] Seat Ibiza's price difference

    (Sent Motorcheck a PM about this but I think he prefers to have the queries posted publicly before PM)

    Just suspicious about the price difference between a 04 5Dr Ibiza, 130K mileage for 2.9K versus 02 3Dr Ibiza, 60K mileage for 3K.

    Maybe it's logical enough given the mileage and year.. and maybe I'm being cynical, but I'd rather be safe. I know this dealer also repairs crashed cars, so am just wondering if it's possibly been crashed. I'd possibly be interested in the 02 3Dr but that mileage is very low (7.5K a year).

    Also, do people think this is a bit high for a 7 year old Polo with 100K mileage? http://www.carzone.ie/search/Volkswagen/Polo/POLO-1.2/201045200148424/advert?channel=CARS - my suspicions says it is.. but there's similar Polos priced for higher and lower than it on Carzone. I know the car dealership and they'd probably run it through NCT for me in February.

    If anyone else has recommendations, I'm all ears - looking for a solid 1.0L - 1.2L Hatchback like a Polo / Golf / Yaris / Ibiza, 2002 upwards and willing to spend up to 3.5K - 4K.

    It's tough to travel outside of the Sligo borough as I work weekdays from 9 - 5, and I've no car right now - insured on my mother's car but not always available.

    It was driven around for 2 years after the NCT expired :eek: - is that correct ?

    Yeah.. as I said to Motorcheck, that's what concerned me too.

    It might have been off the road.. that might be more likely. I think I was right to have my suspicions.

    EDIT: The website does quote an NCT of June 2012, so maybe it was done.. and the data is out-of-date.
