    HI i have a 00 1.8 vvti 140bhp celica the engine warning light is on, took to toyota and its the Cat, wanted 1000+ not paying that for it! driving it like that now for a month, exchaust is starting to rattle was told its the cat broken up inside would that be right? got another fella who does exchaust and wants 600 for the job. Hpw does that sound? any one no any websites I could buy one and get local fella to fit it? is it big job? also would it be ok to de-cat the car? would engine light go off if got that done? if anyone has any advice would be great thanks. :)

    De-cat as far as I know will fail the emissions test next time you put it through the nct.
