    Hi,

I've been thinking of getting streaks similar to those below, but I hear that strong colours such as these can fade very quickly and need a lot of maintenance... Does anyone know from experience, how much maintenance are we talking exactly? I am prepared to get them redone every 4 weeks maybe, any more than that could be unaffordable though!!!

Thanks in advance for any advice people can give!!!

Are you talking about getting the one bright colour underneath or a few different ones?

If its only the one colour you can buy a bottle of "Crazy Colour" in any hairdressers suppliers and redo it yourself when it fades out, but if its a few different colours you will have to go have it done every 4 weeks or so and at that it will be quite faded!

All depends on how often you wash your hair and what shampoo you use!

Thanks for that info, I was thinking of getting a few different colours but maybe only getting one is worth considering so I could touch it up myself... I don't wash my hair that often as it is quite dry, so 2/3 times a week at most!

I would just get some clip-in extensions for that look and have them cut to blend in with my haircut. Coloured hair extensions generally will not fade.

Yeah if I were you I would stick to just 1 colour (you can always use clip-in streaks of another colour with it) as this will be more manageable.

Also blue/green colours fade much fasted than red/pink colours and also tend to look kinda grey when faded.
