What is the story with this? Is it a con/scam/trick? Has someone actually answered a q about me? Who asked it etc?

It has come up on my profile a few times and obviously I am curious to see what it is all about, but when i try to see the answer I have to allow some app or other to access all my details. (Dont want to do this).

Can someone please explain this to me?

It just an app. Someone has the app and may have answered the question "Who did you go to school with?" Then a notification is sent to you and you're asked to let app access your info, and so it continues.
It's not a scam, just a silly game.
