Improve Bluetooth With Car Stereo

    Hey Guys,

I've just got a new radio for my ford fiesta which has built in bluetooth so i can use my phone handsfree with it, it works grand, except nobody can hear me. The mic that came with it doesn't appear to be able to pic me up well at all, they can barely hear me unless i have it right up in my face.

Another car i have came with the bluetooth built into the car and it works perfect, how come this radio doesn't do as good a job?

It's a Sendai CD988BT, got it in Halfords. I think it must be the mic not being sensitive enough? It's an external mic so if I got a better more sensitive mic and plugged it in do you reckon it would do the job better?

It kind of defeats the purpose if I have to hold up the mic in front of my face when im driving to be heard

    Cheers

take it back to halfords and tell them it doesnt work. it may be possible to try a different mic but different brand mics may have different impedance so it might not work anyway. also check the entire length of the mic wire, make sure it hasnt been pinched or stretched.
