limerick boxing clubs

    i want to join a boxing club in limerick and im a gurl any ideas on whar one is the best thats not in a ruff area and any contact numbers of them wud be great

    boxing clubs are usually in working class areas so you might find it difficult finding a posh one!

    Get in touch with Marian Moore of St Francis ABC and she may be able to point you in the right direction.



    If Ann O'Donoghue is still involved with Lady Of Lourdes ABC she may also be able to help you, although I think Dave Cusack may be the point of contact there now.

    I'm assuming that you are looking to take up the sport on a competitive basis and not just looking for a place to keep fit. If the latter then I have a feeling you will be pointed towards a few of the gym/fitness club in Limerick that do boxercise classes.

    Also it would be best to forget about trying to find good clubs within the city that are not in so called working class areas.

    Lady Of Lourdes, Corpus Christi, and St Francis ABCs are all in areas that would fall under the working class banner. If you are in the county then Rathkeale has a decent club also.
