    hi

we are in the process of looking for bathroom suites and finding it pretty pricey - wondering if anyone has used bathroomevolutions.ie and if so how they found them - in terms of quality and service.

They seems to have such low prices am just a bit wary ??

If anyone has any reccommendations pls pm me - we are looking for three bathroom suites - one freestanding bath and two showers !

    thanks in advance

Victoriaplumb.co.uk- shipping rates to ROI are expensive tho!

Bathroomsni.co.uk - used these myself found them very helpful and happy with all my products

Showerdoctor.co.uk - got 3 triton showers from these and happy with everything.

    Hi roseinthegarden,
I used bathroomevolutions.ie recently with no problems, I bought a bath and taps from them. Worked out cheaper than getting a similiar bath in a local shop, even with delivery included.
I found their bathroomevolutions.co.uk website was selling the same items for a lot cheaper (even with shipping included) so I rang them and they gave some excuse about shipping costs etc but eventually we settled for somewhere in between the £ sterling and €uro price, so I cant complain really.
They used DSV in Naas to deliver the stuff. DSV called me a couple of days in advance to arrange the delivery and were flexible to deliver on a day that suited me.

I have also used www.bathmart.co.uk and www.qssupplies.co.uk with no problems, and I got showers from this www.unidomo.eu site that I found on eBay.
Others on here have mentioned german website MegaBad in the past but I found their online catalogue hard to figure out exactly what item I would be getting.

I have not used Victoriaplumb.co.uk as their shipping rates to ROI was too expensive.

You need to be careful when buying plumbing fittings from england. They are not irish standard.

Additionally...Low pressure in england is high pressure in ireland.

Eg 0.5 bar taps in england are low pressure. I ireland this is high pressure.

Problem areas to watch out for are..

Shower valves....Make sure they go down to 0.2 bar or less.

Showers. Most electric showers in england are electric mains. In ireland these do not work well outside dublin. The expense and plumbing of adding a T450 single impeller pump might need to be considered here.

Taps. As above low pressure especially on bath shower mxrs. If you do not buy low pressure you will have to tie up the divertor with a bobbin(remember that one folks :))

Toilets. This can be rectified by changeing the ball valve...

Please note... Buying from the uk IS cheaper. If you know what you are doing you can save a packet... The irony with that is people who know what they are doing can bargin a good deal here in ireland....

One last caution... pottery does not like courier transport :)

Note: This information is supplied free by myself to yourselves. If you have been successful and its all went well...Congratulations...However if you are yet to embarke....Please be cautious...Check what i advise....

Irish plumbers can add extra in labour because of the problems associated with english plumbing.
