Buckled alloy or Space-saver wheel?

Thanks to the recent iPhone alarm bug making me late, some enthusiastic driving and some wet leaves and a high kerb, I buckled an alloy on the passenger side and bent the tracking arms.

I've had both tracking arms replaced, so the steering and suspension is back are good shape, but I've got a buckled alloy.

When I hit the kerb, I changed from the alloy to space saver, until I can either replace the alloy or have it repaired and then get the tracking done.

Until I can get this done, (Next weekend,) am I better to keep the space saver on or switch back to the buckled alloy?
Which will have the least wear on other components?

    Cheers

how bad is the alloy?? is it a factory fit alloy or a replica? a factory alloy would be able to take a hit better than most replica wheels.. if the alloy wasnt badly damaged i would put it on the back or if its bad put the space saver on the back (if you have a front wheel drive car)
maybe get a full sized spare in a breakers yard.

    Cheers Sean,

    It's a factory fitted alloy.
There's visible kerbing where I hit the kerb.

The wheel looks round to the naked eye, (As isn't massively deformed or egg shaped.) but there's a lot of pull and steering shake when it's on.

sounds like it has a bit of a buckle. try take it off and roll it along a smooth road or drive way. you might be able to see if its buckled

it should be a quick fix to bring it somewhere, I got one repaired in 2.5 hrs a few weeks ago.

Collins Engineering in Bray did it, 100 quid... not bad at all. cleared up all the scratches too

I'd be wary of driving it if its bad as another knock (however unlikely) could cause it to fail

That doesn't sound too bad at all.

Did they take the tyre off and then put it on/balance it when finished?
