Anyone have a clue what the undenominated science course in Galway is like?

I do Biomedical science, so I share lectures and labs with them! basically, you can choosefrom a few groups of subjects. It's 4 subjects per group, and you have to do maths. I don't do maths, but from what I hear it's rough...so you're gonna have to work at it. But the cool thing about science in NUIG is that you get sooo much support! there's a special maths grind service, which I think is free, and two tutorials in Bio, Physics, and Chem per week, as well as lectures and labs. Labs are the only thing you have to go to, but I'd recommend as many if not all lectures and most tutorials! There's 300 in undenominated Science and about 900-1000 in first year science subjects, so you'll meet plenty of people! If you have 2 science subjects and honours maths, it'll be an easy year! If not, you will have to work, because quotas apply for 2nd year subjects. Good luck!

The maths is grand. There's two levels, ordinary or honours, I did ordinary and found it ok. It can be a little tricky in parts but there's more than enough resources around college to help you. I'm going into 3rd year science now and i love it. In first year i did group c which was chemistry, biology, physics and maths. I didn't do chemistry or physics for leaving cert but ended up doing very well in college. Labs are pretty basic but fun at times, they get better in second year.
