I've just book a cross-country USA trip with Trek America for 2011. The trip I booked is the Cross Country from New York to LA. Just wondering if anyone has done this trip or any other with Trek America what was it like etc, also how old were the others on the trip (I'm 26). Thanks

    Hi sitstill,

Didn't travel with Trek America but did a similar trip with American Adventures way back in 1999 when also in my twenties.
I started in LA and did the southern trip to NY over 23 days in September. I think the Trek itinerary was much the same

It was fantastic - my best ever holiday/trip and I enjoyed every minute.
Lots of miles covered most days - early starts not too much partying but magnificent scenery, great cities - overall a great experience.

I think there were 13 with my group aged from 20 to 49 from Australia, S Korea, Japan, Germany, Poland, UK, USA and Indonesia.
I went on my own as did most of the group and everyone got on well.

Hi, I did the Southern Sun trip with Trek in July. It was absolutely amazing! All my dealings with trek were great, I emailed them about a dozen times for amendments and advice about which trek to book.

My trek group had 10 people in it, 3 of them were over 21 and the rest of us were 18-20. There was another trek group with us and they were all over 21. The oldest was 27. Though we were technically two seperate groups we stayed at the same campsites most of the time and we were all so close by the end of the trek!

I'm saving up so I can do the northern trail in the next few years, once you do one trip with trek you have to do another!!
