    I am hoping to join a ladies soccer team in Galway city or closeby, just wondering if anyone had any contacts or recommendations for clubs? I have never played before, so would be looking for a club that maybe isn't too competitive, and are happy to take beginners...

    Ashe Rovers
    Salthil Devon
    Mervue Utd
    GUST..
    NUI Galway too

    Last years Galway league table ,check around the site for club contacts

    Thanks for that - tried to look at all their websites today and they don't seem to have much info up there on ladies soccer - except the ashe rovers one which seems to date back a few years! Has anyone out there joined any of these clubs recently?

    just wondering on 'Galway ladies soccer' - is there any clubs around Doughiska area or that neck of the woods - just looking for some soccer training club around - or are they mostly for just for students? tnx

    The local ladies league stopped when Galway entered the women's national league so you may be out of luck currently at least.

    Mr_A is correct that the league is over now as the Women's National League is in progress but I do know that Corrib Rangers are training every monday in westside. That's not your side of town though.

    However, Astrobay in Renmore are doing a 6 a side ladies league every Friday night. I've had to drop out due to injury so there will definitely be a place in one of the teams there.
