Laptop for a teacher and web user

    Hi all,

I'm in the market for a new laptop as my current Latitude D505 has just filled its memory. I've deleted all I can but it seems its days are now numbered. I've had it about 6 years and its been faultless and is still in near mint condition. It's never even crashed :)

Anyway I'm a teacher so I will need a DVD player and something which is comfortable to type on and also it must be possible to connect it to a projector. I will need Office on it as well.

Other than that I need a webcam and the internet.

As you can tell I have limited knowledge of laptops and their workings.

All I want is a reliable, durable and easy to use laptop that does the basics well and has a large amount of memory.

I would also like to keep costs low. Suggestions?

Pretty much any current laptop should meet those requirements. On the software side, as a teacher, you can get MS Office from software4students.ie, for a pretty decent price.

When buying laptops, I usually decide how much I want to spend and then figure out the best deal for that money.
