    Hi All,

I'm looking for some tips for a family roast tomorrow. We usually eat lamb so looking to do something different. Anybody got any suggestions for a meat + veg, the more seasonal the better. It is for 8 people in total and nothing too fancy as i will be shopping in Dunnes or Superquinn.

    Cheers

My suggestion would be pork shoulder. FXB's butchers have them and they're only 10euro for a huge one, although for 8 people you may need to buy two.

Key thing is to slow roast it. Absolutely amazing flavour and the best gravy ever from the pork juices. mmmmmmm
