PC Mode disabled, Philips 37PFL7605H

Dear RS,

Apologies for using this forum for support but as per usual, My several emails to Philips have gone unanswered over the past weeks.

When I connect a PC to my 37PFL7605H (via HDMI), I am unable to set the screen to PC Mode. I have chosen "Unscaled" as my screen aspect, but when I go to PC ode and switch it on, it just keeps jumping back to off.

Can anyone tell me why this is? and what exactly is PC Mode?

Things I've tried
I am up to date with Firmware
I have tried a different HDMI port
I have re-installed the TV

Also, do you know of an email address or a web form where I can contact Philips ..... that actually works?
(Not interested in phone numbers, I do not have the time nor money to waste)

Given that its the middle of the weekend, your query might not get attention for a few days. In terms of dealing with Philps for customer support, I recall John suggesting some time ago that you could try using the Live Chat facility on Philips website - if you follow this link http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?slg=en&scy=ie&ctn=37PFL7605H/12 you'll see a box marked "Click for Live Chat" on the upper right hand side of the screen - I also recall one of the Philips Shop reps (Nicola) referring to it as a means of getting advice, see here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=68154112&postcount=6 The Live Chat service operatinghours are as follows:

Opening hours are from Monday to Friday from 08:30 am to 08:00 pm and Saturdays between 09:00 am to 06:00 pm

PS: Just noticed that there's a FAQ on the page linked above which includes instructions for connecting your PC - it appears that you have to add the PC as a device to your TV:

When you have selected the type of connection you want to use, you have to manually add your computer as an item in the Home menu in order to switch the TV to the computer.

I would also repeat that I find the live support chat from the Philips extremly useful if you're looking for a quick and easy answer.

did you find solution to the problem? my pc mode acts exactly in same way, and i have no idea what to do.

Hi Guys

I cant try this here in store as none of our PC/laptops have HDMI out.

I can switch out 37/7605H into and out of PC Mode no worries when a BR Player is plugged into in.
