Hi ,I've been in the middle of moving my stuff around and clearing up stuff ,I somehow made the picture wonkey from my upc media box.

So to try and fix it ,I started messing with options in the tv settings menu and the screen is now blank.
I can get to the tv settings menu screen by reading the display on the mediabox ,but I don't know how to get the picture back?
The tv is getting a signal ,but it's just blank.

Any help would be greatly appreciated ,thanks.

Has the scart cable between the box and the tv become loose push it in.

The picture went blank after I changed a setting in the tv settings menu.
My original problem was the picture was starting half way accross the screen:(

Thats my problem ,I don't know:(

I was just flying through different options trying to get the picture working. If I had a picture of the menus ,I'd have a go at fixing it. But ntl don't have anything online

I am good at this sort of thing but its hard over a board like this.

I think you may of turned of scart control which makes the tv turn to the box.

If you get your TV control not your digital control and select through the scart channels you should find the digital box siginal again.

If you do this and it works I will run you throught the rest to get a good picture.

Cheers for the help ,when I turn the upc box on I'm getting a signal because the tv says AV1 Wide. When I turn the box off it goes back to AV1 RGB

I've been trying to press a sequence of menu keys and now I've got a picture back again.
The picture is half way across the screen

OK you need to go into the box settings and turn on RGB also in the settings of the box switch tv format to widescreen if you have a widescreen tv and you will ge extra picture and you will notice the RTE logo is no longer cut off.

Edit press ok when you finish to save settings.

Do you mean you have black bars of the screen?

I've tried that ,the picture is almost like it's not tuned properly. Theres a big black box going right down the middle and the right side of the picture is wrapped around to the left side of the screen.

Is the scart cable in properly there are loads of little pins in this cable if one or two of them is not in right this can happen.

Also going through the AV channels on your tv have you gone through them all some will get half a siginal if you move to the next things might be perfect.

The cable was tight ,but I must have reversed it when I was moving things. When I reversed the cable back it works fine ,I double checked it and somehow the scart only works one way :)

    Thanks for your help.
