World Number 1 Rafa Nadal has withdrawn from Paris Masters due to tendonitis in his shoulder. Apparently he injured himself overdoing it in training and is taking a weeks rest to recover.
Nadal has played since losing to Jurgen Melzer in the third round at Shanghai Masters earlier this month. His next scheduled tournament is ATP World Tour Finals in London.

Have to admit, when I saw 'tendonitis' mentioned I instantly thought of his knees. He has so much power in his arms that this injury must be treated with caution. Would be a shame if he missed the Tour Finals.
