How do I connect Dell Inspiron 1525 to 32" Sony Bravia HDTV

    Hey guys,

    little help here would be greatly appreciated!

    I need to connect Dell Inspiron 1525 to 32" Sony Bravia HDTV.

    Laptop has VGA port.

    TV has component inputs and HDMI port.

    Not sure what else it has cos its flat against the wall so cant actually get access to the back of it (but i will be changing the bracket its mounted on soon)

    I want the BEST quality picture possible. this tv was expensive i dont want to be watching rubbish quality on a great television

    I've actually found a hdmi port on laptop, so i can connect laptop and tv with hdmi cable i use for the dvd player :D so now i have amazing picture quality....but no sound :(

    Have you tried setting your laptop sound output to HDMI ?

    (On Windows 7 it is Start-->Control Panel-->Hardware and Sound-->Sound-->Playback tab....set to HDMI)
