what is p35?

    Hi
    i received a letter yesterday from revenue and it had a copy of P35L.
    this has tax details for taxation period jan 09 to dec 09
    i have not requested this
    can anyone suggest why was this sent now?
    i am not self employed and work in a local firm.

    Revenue want paye/prsi details you deducted from your employees for 2009 however it appears you may not have had any employees for '09 so is most likely an error of some kind, ring them and let them know this but also send back the form and mark it a 'nil' return so they can update their system, it happens from time to time as Revenue are gearing up for end of year returns at this time of year and some cracks appear here and there!

    Sent in error send it back!
    The P35 shows all PAYE and PRSI employee & employer deductions for the relevant tax year it is normally accompanied by the P35L which details the deductions for each specific employee
    The only people who should really have this kind of info are the Revenue, the company accountant(s) and the company directors

    i did not get P35 but received P35L only

    i spoke to paye call centre and they were surprised too.
    luckily it had details of only me nobody else.
    had my tax payments/earnings for 2009
    i spoke to office accountant and they were surprised too
